- My Story Is
I can introduce you to an organic rice farmer who owns, grows and distributes a boutique retail brand of organic rice to supermarkets and chefs at high-profile restaurants in Sydney and Melbourne.“Grow 100 tons of organic rice in Tasmania by April 2021” describes one of his new goals.
He believes that Tasmania has the opportunity to be branded the highest quality producer of organic GMO-free food in the world.
He wants to help make that happen by bringing his 30 years of organic industry expertise into partnerships with Tasmanians who want to achieve this shared vision.
This is one of the reasons that he is relocating to Tasmania from the mainland. Another is climate change.
To achieve this goal, he is looking to purchase a farm where most of the existing growers in the area now are starting to convert their neighboring farms to organic horticulture or dairy.
More details about the farm that he is looking to purchase are:
– Northwest Tasmania
– 50 to 150 acres
– Convertible to organic or already organic
– Elevation below 300 meters
– Rainfall annually above 800 mm
HOW WE KNOW ONE ANOTHER
In August one of the agribusiness news reporters at a major Australian media network read this story about another one of my clients who also wants to grow rice in Tasmania:

The reporter suggested for me to contact this person.
I phoned him, we exchanged emails and a few more phone calls.
Recently on September 21, he visited northern Tasmania and we met for coffee in Devonport.
I agreed to try helping him search, find and get to know more aligned people in Tasmania by circulating this online story.
WHY MAKE THIS INTRODUCTION
Main business reasons for me to offer to make this introduction are because it may help me to:
1) Search, find and arrange new valuable opportunities to co-invest
2) Grow my own network of relationships and knowledge by building relationships between people who drive the food industry in Tasmania now and in the future.
4) Assist aligned partners in Australia, especially Tasmania
